This Privacy Policy describes how WhatsClean (“the App”) handles user data. WhatsClean is a utility app designed to help users manage and clean WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business media files stored locally on their device.

1. Data Collection and Usage

Personal Data:
WhatsCleaner does not directly collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses.

Device Identifiers and Analytics:
The App uses third-party SDKs (such as Google AdMob and Google Play Services) that may automatically collect Device or other IDs, including the Advertising ID. These are used for:

• Advertising: Providing relevant ads and measuring ad performance.
• Analytics: Understanding how the App is used to improve performance.
• Fraud Prevention: Ensuring secure transactions and app integrity.

Purchase History:
Since the App offers a Premium upgrade, information regarding your purchase history is processed through the Google Play Billing Library to manage subscriptions or one-time purchases. We do not store your credit card or payment details.

Media Files:
The App accesses WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business media files only after explicit user permission is granted through Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF). All file processing, including scanning and labeling, occurs locally on the device. Your media files are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted off-device.

2. Permissions

• Folder Access (Storage Access Framework): Used to view, manage, and delete media files within user-selected folders.
• AD_ID Permission: Used to provide personalized advertising through the Google AdMob SDK.
• Billing Permission: Used to process in-app purchases through the Google Play Store.
• Internet Permission: Used for loading ads, processing billing, and checking app updates.

3. Third-Party Services

WhatsClean uses the following third-party services, which may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services: Used for app updates and core functionality.
• Google AdMob: Used for displaying advertisements.
• Google Play Billing: Used for secure in-app purchases.
• Google ML Kit: Used for local image categorization.

4. Data Security

• Encryption in Transit: All transmitted data, such as billing information or ad requests, is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Local Processing: All media scanning and file management are handled locally on your device and are not sent to any cloud server.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

WhatsClean does not store user media on external servers. Any media deletion is performed only upon your action and permanently removes the file from your device.

For data collected by Google services, such as Advertising IDs, users may reset their Advertising ID or manage privacy settings through their Google Account at any time.

6. Children’s Privacy

WhatsClean is not intended for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
